Owner Cat Cook promises the full-service nail salon is 100 percent sanitary, including sanitary tubs and placing new tub liners and paper liners on headrests so each customer has a clean chair every time.

The salon offers complete nail care, including gel nails, solar nails, nail art, gel polish and more. Also available is permanent makeup by an artist who comes from Houston and specializes in eyebrows, eye liner and lip liner. On the menu of services, too, are eye lash and eye brow tinting. Midland Nails also offers three different kinds of facials and full-body waxing. "As a special bonus," Cook said, "we have two wonderful full-body massage chairs that will relax you and put you to sleep!"

Spa manager Quincy Vo said appointments are available and walk-ins are welcome.

Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Information is available and appointments can be made by calling 699-4823.

Owner Harris Kerr said the move comes in response to customer convenience issues. "We've had increasing numbers of people tell us that they did not like coming downtown, due to the traffic," he said. "We spent a good deal of time trying to find the best location, and we know Plaza Oaks will be convenient for everyone."

The new location will give Permian Abstract slightly more space than they had downtown. Landmen will still be able to access the Ward and Midland County land libraries that were in the downtown location.
