@LoganLive09 no man the way the fretboard works is it has the frets( the metal bars) as you get closer to the pick ups it creates more tension, and just like snapping a rubber band while you hold the outsides it makes a higher pitched sound the more you pull the outsides out. when you bend the string it does pretty much that, it just creates more tensions and a higher pitched sound.
